Bolton Beer Works Sign

“WITHOUT QUESTION, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.” Dave Berry

Bolton Beer Works is actually just one part of Nashoba Valley Winery – a farm / vineyard / winery / brewery / orchard / restaurant on 52 acres of beautiful rolling hills in eastern Massachusetts, just 25 miles from Boston and in the heart of apple country. Starting in a Somerville house basement, to a winery warehouse in Concord, to the present location, the folks at Nashoba have now been making award winning wine for 33 years. With a special commitment to locally grown produce, they are proudly a New England Farm and still remain a family-owned business. A popular destination for visitors, they offer over 26 varieties of wines, various choices of hand crafted beers and distilled spirits, as well as gourmet home-cooked meals.

A sampling of the beers on tap, either in reusable growlers (64 ounce jug holding fresh draft beer) or bottled, are Key Lime Ale, Blueberry Ale, New English Cider and Rich’s Hard Lemonade. As Dan and Jeff say on Bolton’s website, “If you don’t like it, bring it back and we’ll drink it for you.”

The beer, hops and apple artwork on their sign were hand sculpted, while the wheat behind was hand painted directly on the sign. All text and border groove were hand carved as well. This sign was configured using Danthonia’s sign designer website, and fine-tuned until it was just right – bold, bright, and cheerful!
