Niesen Dental Signs

NOW, MOST DENTIST’S CHAIRS go up and down, don’t they? The one I was in went back and forwards. I thought, ‘This is unusual.’ And the dentist said to me, ‘Mr. Vine, get out of the filing cabinet.’ Tim Vine

Unlike the scenario above, the Niesen dentistry office in Gaithersburg, Maryland has an impressive state-of-the-art dental office and extensive website, making it highly unlikely to find yourself in a filing cabinet. Interestingly though, the setting is a welcoming and home-like historic house (circa 1892) which belies a very modern and technologically advanced dental office inside. Being newly renovated in 2007, it offers the best of both worlds – a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that was carefully designed in keeping with the furnishings and décor of the house’s original time period - together with impeccable infection control and the latest equipment. As they describe themselves, ‘Historic on the outside, State-of-the-art dentistry on the inside’.

Wishing to incorporate their distinctive logo, which emphasizes the historic backdrop for their practice, the folks asked Danthonia to come up with a design that would be classy and professional, saying ‘Quality’ without so many words. The result was this attractive business sign which includes hand painted artwork, dimensional add ons and hand carved and painted letters and groove border.

Made of high density urethane (HDU), this sign will weather better than wood, since it is completely waterproof and insect-proof. Being a closed cell substrate, HDU will not warp, rot or split like wood will do over time. The ‘wrought iron’ Dathonia scroll hanger is really made of rustproof sturdy powder coated aluminium, engineered to withstand the strongest winds.
