Butter Brook Golf Club Sign

"GOLF IS DECEPTIVELY SIMPLE and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening – and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented." Arnold Palmer

Butter Brook Golf Club in the Boston suburb of Westford, Massachusetts is a beautiful new championship semi-private golf course spreading over 210 acres of rolling hills, ponds, pine trees and, of course, Butter Brook which meanders through the entire property. Carefully designed, studying the natural terrain, the holes were routed for optimal strategic playing. The first nine holes were opened in 2004 while the back nine, together with a practice facility, opened in 2007. The club includes a shop, staffed in part with certified PGA professionals who have great advice to offer golfers.

Showcasing their newly designed logo, this dimensional club entrance sign was handcrafted as a striking landmark and branding for the new course. Without many words, the sign says ‘Quality’. The rocks and waterfall are sculpted and painted by hand, while the letters are incise carved (also by hand – no CNC routers!) and gilded with 23kt gold leaf. A cove edge, matching the carved accent lines, sets off the design and adds an extra depth. Made of high density urethane (HDU), this sign has the look, feel, weight and density of a wooden sign, but the additional advantage of much longer weatherability, since it is completely waterproof and insect-proof, and will not warp, split, rot or crack like wood is prone to do over a few years.
