“OF JOURNEYING the benefits are many: the freshness it bringeth to the heart, the seeing and hearing of marvelous things, the delight of beholding new cities. . ." - G. Sadi

When I drive into a town that I've never visited before, the entry sign says a lot about the place. If the sign is well-designed and welcoming, I get the impression that this is a town where the locals are proud of where they live. It might be a place to stop for a cup of coffee and a look-around. Conversely, a town with a crummy generic sign or no sign at all doesn't leave much of an impression.

For this very reason, many towns and villages in the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada have required carved signage to reinforce the historic ambiance of their town. More recently, this awareness of town signage has spread to other regions as well. If you're interested in leaving a good impression on visitors to your town, village or park, a hand-crafted welcome sign at every entrance is well worth considering.

  • The team at Danthonia Designs has been an absolute pleasure to work with. From concept stage to sign construction they have been professional, accessible, approachable and reliable. They worked with our brand and were able to genuinely portray the essence of our municipality in every sign. The feedback we are receiving from the local community and visitors to the region is fantastic. We can’t wait to roll out the concept throughout our entire municipality.
