Our fantastic Sign Designer allows you to experiment with different wooden sign effects, such as textures and colors, to create a traditional 'wooden' sign. You can even upload images, photos and logos, which our artists can incorporate within your design.
Custom wooden signs are expensive to manufacture and prone to rotting, splitting and warping. Danthonia Designs prefer to craft all signs using High-Density Urethane (HDU), which is a much more durable material. HDU is both weather-resistant and insect-proof, so it will not be damaged by the weather and will not become inhabited by termites or spiders.
Wooden sign effects are used to make all custom 'wooden' signs look and feel like the real thing. We use chisels and wire brushes to create natural-looking grains and all signs are hand-painted to produce the best results. We only use the highest-quality acrylic paints, which are made to withstand the harshest conditions without fading.
Authentic custom wooden signs will cost more but if a customer insists, Danthonia Designs will consider purchasing and crafting natural wooden blocks on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in designing an authentic wooden sign, contact us directly to make a request.
